Angel是拥有西洋歌坛“知性女声掌门人”之称的加拿大女歌手SarahMcLachlan的歌曲。
SarahMcLachlan的地位更因为一手创办空前的女性摇滚音乐演唱盛事--“莉莉丝音乐节”，让众多歌手崇拜不已，其中近来唱片狂卖的蒂朵就是SarahMcLachlan头号歌迷。
而擅长翻唱的Westlife也曾将Angel再度唱红，甚至披头四大老PaulMcCartney几年前现场聆听SarahMcLachlan演唱Angel更因遥念爱妻而当场落泪，都让人津津乐道。《Afterglow》是目前市场和学术网络询问度最高的新片。
SarahMcLachlan最脍炙人口的歌曲当属电影《CityOfAngel》主题曲Angel，当时因为歌曲搭配着电影剧情造成全球轰动。这首Angel在台湾先后有林凡及李圣杰翻唱，而擅长翻唱的Westlife也翻唱Angel，足见Angel的经典程度。
不过，最让人津津乐道的是，披头士大老PaulMcCartney99年曾因为现场聆听SarahMcLachlan演唱这首歌曲而泪流满面，原来当时他想起了已逝爱妻琳达，SarahMcLachlan的歌声给了他最多的感动。
