2015年10月18日，在英国版《X Factor》节目的广告时间，单曲《Hello》的前30秒片段曝光。视频全程黑屏，没有公布歌名和演唱者名字，但是辨识度极高的歌声立刻让全球乐迷沸腾起来。23日，完整版的歌曲和MV开始横扫各大音乐网站，分分钟都是“屠榜”的节奏。
《Hello》单曲首日下载量截至27日已在110个国家登顶，打破全球最大流媒体音乐服务平台Spotify的全美全英单曲首日播放纪录;MV发布22小时，点击人数已突破2020万次，赶超Taylor Swift的《Bad Blood》24小时点击量2010万的纪录。新专辑《25》虽然要到11月20日才正式发行，但目前预购量已超过10万张，有机构预测，专辑美国首周销量就可达到100万张。
